Today we went on the Red Mountain Trail hike.  It was very rocky and had uneven terrain.   The lookout point that we hiked to looked over Snow Canyon.   It was beautiful!  We were so high that there was actually snow on the ground.  Very chilly!!!  When we got to the lookout, there were a few of us that actually hiked up further onto a rocky ledge.  As soon as a couple of the other guys started climbing, I had to take on the challenge myself!  J  Because there were not a lot of elevation changes throughout the hike, I didn’t burn as many calories as I would have liked…. Only burnt 1200 during the hike.

After lunch, I went to a Zumba class which is always a lot of fun and a good workout.

The next class was Mountain.  Because my calves are still bothering me, I just used the incline on the treadmill once again.  I ended up at 12.0 incline which is pretty intense.

Kickboxing was the next class…. It is a great workout!  It really drains the energy….  We start out with basic punches and kicks and end up doing a long series of punches and kicks.  We also have to punch as hard and fast as we can for extended periods of time.  My arms were like jello when we were done.

Our options after kickboxing were swimming or stretch…. Neither seemed like a good option for me so I made up my own cardio workout.  Each minute I increased the incline by a whole number and topped out at 10.0.  I then went back down each level decreasing a whole number each minute.  Once at the bottom I went back up the ladder again this time every 30 seconds.  This time I went to 12.0 and then held that for 1:30 seconds.  And then back down the ladder.  At the end I walked quickly for at least 20 more minutes.
