Today I woke up pretty sore.  We were assigned to our hiking group that we will be with for the rest of the week.  There are 6 of us.  We hit it off right away and are already having a lot of fun together!  Somehow for our first hike together we were given "Stop Sign" which is an extremely difficult hike. It is an entirely paved hike that starts off with some moderate ups and downs but ends up being an incredibly steep road that winds around and goes straight up for 2+ miles.  It was literally breathtaking and exhausting.  The altitude increase by itself killed my breathing let alone the burning and knotting in my legs as I hiked up this steep hill.  The pictures truly don't do the incline justice!  Having said this, I did finish the hike second in the group.  I was SO happy to see that dang stop sign!  After I reached the top I was able to walk over to walk they called the "Outlook" and you could literally look down on the road that I had just climbed.  Amazing to realize how far and how high I had just hiked!

When I got back I went to a class, had lunch, went to another lecture, and then attended 3 workouts.  When the last workout was over and the trainer announced once again that we had made it through the day, for some reason I felt very emotional again.  I even had tears well up in my eyes and had to catch my breath.  I am not sure if that was from relief the day was done, pure exhaustion, or that I was finally 100% committed to working on getting back my health, self-confidence, and self-esteem.  Regardless, I was so glad that the day was over as my body ached and was so so stiff!
