I wish I had the energy and time to try to figure out more descriptive and detailed ways to describe these hikes.  Every hike is so challenging – physically and mentally!!  In some ways I feel completely burnt out of hiking, but at the same time it feels great when I am able to go places I could never have imagined that I could!  It amazes me that we can point to the top of a mountain way across the valley and say, “That’s where we are going!”  And we get there in 45 minutes!!!  WOW!  How is that even possible!?!?  One step at a time….. that’s how!  I have learned that on the days that hiking is the last thing I want to be doing to look two feet in front of me and GO!  Before I know it, we are somewhere that is beautiful and amazing!  Then it was all worth it!  J

Today our hike was called Central Park.  It was a very challenging hike as it had a LOT of narrow crevices and “natural” stairs to climb throughout the hike. My legs were burning and of course my heart rate was very high (good for calorie burn)!! I burnt 1400 calories on this hike.

After we got back to the resort, Enterprise car rental came to pick me up to go rent a car for the weekend.  I got a red Ford Focus and it even has a sunroof!  I am so ready to bust out of this joint!!  LOL  It definitely feels confining at times being here without a car or way to go anywhere else.  Three weeks without driving has been very strange…. I almost felt the excitement of a 16-year-old again driving the car back to the resort!  LOL

This afternoon I decided to take Zumba twice.  It was a lot of fun and it is very aerobic!!  After that I did Cardio for 20 minutes and then used the weight machines for another 10 or so.  After dinner I felt like I just needed to go somewhere since I had a car…. I drove into St. George and went to a few stores for an hour or so.  I even splurged on the way back and got a Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper (zero calories, fat, carbs, etc.).  LOL
